SUSTAINABILITY
Sustainability is a core part of comfortemp®’s innovation strategy. Our fibers integrate recycled polyester, biodegradable options, and circular solutions, all designed to reduce environmental impact. In 2021, Freudenberg launched the Apparel House of Sustainability initiative, bringing together over 500 eco-solutions under one transparent framework centric around comfortemp®. Every step we take ensures comfort, durability, and performance while advancing eco-friendly practices.
Global Recycled Standard-certified recycled polyester (rPET)
Freudenberg began pioneering bottle recycling in 1991, leading the way in textile recycling. Since the early 2000s, we have incorporated rPET fiber into our insulation products.
Today, most of our insulation solutions use rPET to significantly reduce resource consumption and minimize waste, underscoring our long-term commitment to sustainability.
Biodegradable Solutions
In 2019, we launched the Nature HO 60x Series, featuring insulation solution made with biodegradable fiber. This innovation accelerates the return to nature without compromising quality. At ISPO 2022, HO 60x was ranked in the Top 5 in Textrends Awards.
